Everything since we last met on August 10: paid and organic social, both Google Business Profiles, where residential cleaning stands six weeks after the new page went live, and what came in through the website, the estimator and the two emails. All last-30-day figures cover September 4 to October 3, 2026.
Two campaigns shared the month. The brand ad, General Promo · Whistler +17km, ran at $10 a day either side of a two-week break, and from September 10 to 25 that budget went to the Sales & Quality Control Manager hiring ad instead before handing back automatically. Spend came to $317.32 for 432 clicks, at 73 cents a click.

| Impressions | 48,739→39,006 | ▼ 20.0% |

| Cost per click | $0.75→$0.73 | ▼ 1.5% |
| Cost per 1,000 impressions | $6.13→$8.14 | ▲ 32.6% |
| Click-through rate | 0.82%→1.11% | ▲ 34.6% |
| Post engagements | 383→347 | ▼ 9.4% |
A month of two halves, so the rates tell the story better than the totals. Impressions and reach are lower because for fifteen days the budget was reaching a different audience, people within 25 km who might apply for a job, rather than owners and managers within 17 km.
The rates moved the right way. The click-through rate rose from 0.82% to 1.11%, the highest in any of these reports. The autumn auction is dearer, with the cost of reaching a thousand people up 33%, and the better click-through rate absorbed all of it: the cost per click held at 73 cents, slightly under last month, and the account bought 31 more clicks for $18 more spend.
The hiring ad was the most efficient thing in the account at 68 cents a click, and the brand ad's own click-through rate also improved on August, from 0.82% to 0.97%, now that it carries both creatives.
In August the original ad and a new version with the team in it, Housekeeping V2, ran side by side on an even $5 a day each for two weeks, then moved into one ad set on August 26 so Meta could choose between them. These are both halves of that test.
Level split · Aug 12 to 25, $5 a day each
Meta choosing · Aug 26 to Oct 3
Level split · Aug 12 to 25, $5 a day each
Meta choosing · Aug 26 to Oct 3
A close call, and the right answer is to keep both. On the level split the new version won the click-through rate and the cost per click, and the original sent people to the website for a little less. Once Meta was free to choose it gave the original about three dollars in four over the whole period, but since the ads came back on after the hiring fortnight it has split the budget almost exactly evenly, 49% to 51%. Across the whole period the new version earned the better click-through rate, 1.10% against 0.87%.
Two ads that perform this evenly do more together than either would alone. Meta rotates them, so the same Whistler audience sees two different images through the month rather than one, which matters at a frequency of 3.6.

237 clicks in fifteen days at 68 cents each, with 156 of them going through to the application form. It reached 6,381 people across a 25 km radius and switched back to the brand ad on September 25 as planned.
Posting has held at 10 posts across the window, one every three days, mirrored across both platforms. The new round of 35 posts is scheduled all the way through to December 13, and about a third of it is written for homeowners rather than hosts. Instagram reached 5,222 accounts and the posts drew 4,613 views, both paid and organic together, since the ads and the page content share the same profiles.
Views are up on last month and more than double the same month last year, and the profile now sends a steady 13 visits a month to the website, where a year ago it sent none. Profile figures cover September 2 to October 1, the most recent 30 days Google has finished counting.

10 reviews at 4.6 stars, nine of them five stars. The opportunity is the same as last time: around ten more five-star reviews takes the profile to 4.8, level with the strongest cleaning profiles in the village. September brought the best people yet to ask, the first residential customers, and a first clean that went well is the moment someone is happiest to write a line.
Still first in Google Maps for “vacation rental cleaning whistler”, checked again on October 4, ahead of businesses holding 85 and 86 reviews. ChatGPT now names Summit first for the same search too, as the pick “for a professional, high-volume rental operation.” The profile drew 82 views and 51 direction requests this period.
| Profile views | 92→82 | ▼ 10.9% |

The name. Google leans heavily on the words in a business name when it decides which profiles to show for a local search, and this profile is named for exactly what people type.
It is the same effect the residential section below is built on, working in Summit's favour on a live search.
Start the reviews. The profile is winning the visibility on its name alone, and reviews are what turn that position into enquiries when two profiles sit side by side in the map. Review link to send to any happy owner or manager: g.page/r/CSqrqBxOsXRjEBM/review
One small change worth making alongside it: the profile's website link points at the homepage, and pointing it at the vacation rental page instead ties the profile to the page that matches it.
In August I set out what it would take for Summit to be found for residential cleaning: a page written for it, a Google profile named for it, reviews behind it, and Google Ads once those were in place. The page went live on August 19, the estimator joined it on September 1 and the full price grid was finished on September 15. This is where the three channels stand now, checked again from Whistler on October 4 and 5.
ChatGPT now names Summit for both residential searches, in the new page's own words. In August it named Summit for neither.
Google showed the residential page 224 times in its first full month, and is still settling where it ranks.
The one channel a page cannot move on its own. Every business above Summit on the map is a profile named for cleaning.
The same two searches as in August, asked in ChatGPT from Whistler.
| Search | Aug 10 | Oct 5 | What it said about Summit |
|---|---|---|---|
| “residential house cleaning Whistler” | Not named | Named | “offers weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and one-time residential cleaning, including services for second homes” |
| “house cleaning Whistler” | Not named | Named | “For a luxury chalet or second home, Perfection or Summit may be a better fit.” |
This is the mechanism from August working as described. ChatGPT shortlists from the map and then reads each company's website to decide what to say about it. The residential page gave it something to read, and it is quoting it: founded in 1996, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and one-time, second homes, all lifted straight off summithospitality.ca/residential-cleaning-whistler. The main Google profile also now appears on the map ChatGPT attaches to its answer.
For vacation rental cleaning it puts Summit first outright: “For a professional, high-volume rental operation: Summit Hospitality.”
From Search Console, September 2 to October 1.
Impressions come before clicks: Google is placing the page in results and testing where it belongs. Across the site, average position improved from 24.7 to 18.3 in a month and clicks from Google rose 20%, and the vacation rental page already averages a first-page position. In August the estimate for a new page to settle was four to eight weeks. The residential page is six and a half weeks old, so page one for “residential cleaning whistler” and “house cleaning whistler” is the next milestone to watch.
Still the channel that matters most for a local service, because it is where the call and directions buttons live.
| Business | residential cleaning whistler | house cleaning whistler |
|---|---|---|
| Crystal Cleaning Whistler | 1 | 1 |
| Whistler Revolution Cleaning | 2 | 2 |
| Sparkly Cleaning Whistler | 3 | 3 |

Something like Summit Residential Cleaning Whistler, with its own phone number and pointed at the residential page. It is the piece of the August plan that moves the map, because it brings the same name match that keeps the vacation rental profile first to the residential searches. Google normally starts showing a new profile in local results within two to four weeks of verification.
The landing page the ads needed now exists, and it puts a price in front of someone in under a minute. The suggested start is unchanged at $15 a day, about $450 a month. Comparable Whistler home services clicks are running $6.07 to $11.44 this month, so that budget buys roughly 40 to 75 clicks a month to learn from, and the main profile already supplies the call and location details the ads would carry.
Reviews do not decide the ranking, but they decide the click once Summit is on the screen. The first residential customers are the natural people to ask.
Fifteen people asked Summit for a price or a clean through the website in September. Ten used the new residential estimator, building twelve estimates between them, three used the vacation rental estimator, and two wrote in through the contact form, one of them a new short-term rental manager. On top of that, more than forty people replied directly to the launch and deep clean emails, about a dozen of them asking for a quote or a call.
| Home | Clean | Date | Their estimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 bed, 2 bath townhouse | One-off clean, 1 extra | Sep 4 | $287 to $358 |
| 5 bed, 3 bath house | One-off clean, 12 extras | Sep 4 | $1,338 to $1,470 |
| 4 bed, 5 bath house | Monthly | Sep 6 | Custom quote |
| 5 bed, 4.5 bath house | Deep clean | Sep 7 | $1,560 to $1,950 |
| 5 bed, 2.5 bath house | One-off clean | Sep 7 | $588 to $734 |
| 1 bed, 1 bath condo | Deep clean | Sep 10 | $388 to $508 |
| 4 bed, 3 bath house | Monthly | Sep 10 | $385 to $482 |
| 3 bed, 3.5 bath townhouse | Monthly | Sep 10 | $303 to $387 |
| 3 bed, 1.5 bath townhouse | Monthly | Sep 11 | $244 to $311 |
| 1 bed, 1 bath condo | Monthly | Sep 11 | $134 to $176 |
| 6 bed, 7 bath house | Monthly | Sep 11 | Custom quote |
| 4 bed, 4 bath home, Squamish | One-off clean, 6 extras | Sep 18 | $925 to $1,078 |
The estimator is doing what it was built for. It puts a number in front of someone at the moment they are interested, and every estimate arrives in Jobber as a request with a draft quote already written, so the follow-up is a phone call rather than data entry. Ten of the twelve came back with a price on the spot.
The two that went to a custom quote are now priced. Both were larger homes on a monthly clean, exactly the combinations filled in when the full grid went live on September 15, so the same request today gets a number straight away.
All ten residential estimates came in the two weeks after the emails started going out, September 4 to 18, with the estimator as the button in both, which says a lot about what the next email should point at.
The decisions for this call are the name, something like Summit Residential Cleaning Whistler, and which phone number it uses. Once those are settled I will set it up and point it at the residential page.
Section 5 has the numbers. $15 a day is the suggested start, about $450 a month, and with the page and the estimator in place it can go live whenever you are ready.
The client list is merged into one in Jobber and the estimator is the obvious button. Kirsty's planned quarterly update would be the natural next send. If we go ahead, I would add click tracking so we can see exactly who opens the estimator from it.
Homes of five bedrooms and up go to an in-person quote, as agreed on September 5. The grid out to eight bedrooms that Kirsty asked for on September 14 is built and ready to switch on. The one thing to settle first is the step between sizes: at eight bedrooms a departure clean comes out at $520 to $560, against about $1,100 for a residential one-off clean of the same house. Happy to go with either, or a different approach if that suits better.
A few replies to the launch compared the estimate with what they pay now, mostly owners of large homes who only use some of the rooms, and one property manager asked for an hourly rate per cleaner. Worth deciding whether the estimator's option to clean only some rooms should be more prominent, and whether an hourly option for property managers is something you want to offer.
Worth agreeing one habit for asking, a line in the post-clean email or a card left in the home, so it happens after every first clean without anyone having to remember. Owners who have said thank you recently are the easiest place to start.
The footage from Ian came through on October 2. Worth agreeing the first cut together: the website hero first, then short clips for social.
The staff side went live on September 16, with all 15 staff on the portal, all 15 employment agreements on file and the training running with quizzes and certificates. On the client side, every service agreement now carries the linen and amenities guide and the Aveda spec sheet automatically. Worth a quick look at how the team is getting on with it.
The idea I sent on October 1: a row in the FAQ where customers type their own question and get an answer from Summit's own information, any time of day, and get sent to the estimator if they ask about price. Happy to walk through it.
