Covers every feed placement.
The creative and copy changes we agreed on the call on 10 August. These went live on 12 August and are running now, alongside the ad that was already going. The social posts have been switched over to match.
It is all running, but none of it is permanent. If you want the wording, the image or the split changed, say so and we will change it. The only cost of a change now is that the test clock starts again from whenever we make it.
Three things changed, and one thing did not. The original ad is exactly as it was and is still running. Everything below went into a second ad running alongside it, so we get a clean read on which one performs better rather than losing the history on the ad that was already working.
The creative that has been running since June. It is still live and completely untouched.

Covers every feed placement.
1080 × 1920 · Facebook and Instagram Stories and Reels
Runs alongside the square.
The same two sizes, same layout, same brand furniture, same logo and contact block. Two deliberate changes to the artwork.
1254 × 1254 · Facebook and Instagram feeds, Marketplace, search, profile feed
Same size, crop and layout as now. New strapline and background.
1080 × 1920 · Facebook and Instagram Stories and Reels
Same size, crop and layout as now. New strapline and background.
The line that positions the whole ad. It moves off nightly rentals and onto housekeeping generally, which is the groundwork for the residential push later this month.
The current image is an empty property. The new one puts your team in it: one cleaning a window in a bedroom with the view behind, one vacuuming in the kitchen. Same rooms, same mountain shot up top, same colour treatment.
It reads as a cleaning company rather than a property listing, which is the point of the test.
One change, and one only. The call to action moves from the bottom of the text to the top, directly under the opening line, so the website and phone number are visible before the “see more” cut-off rather than after it. Every other word stays exactly as it is.

Both ads open on “Your property. Guest-ready. Every single time.”, and the new one keeps it word for word, so the only difference in the text between the two is the call to action moving up.
That is the cleaner test, because it leaves the new image and the new strapline as the things being measured, which is why it is running that way. If you would rather we tried a different opening line on the new one, it is a quick change to make.
Two ads, side by side, on an even split, both live now. The original ad was not edited at all apart from its daily budget, so its history and learning stay intact. The new creative sits in a second ad set inside the same campaign.
Exactly as it was. Same image, same strapline, same text, call to action at the bottom. Nothing about it changed except the budget, from $10 down to $5 to make room for the test.
New background and new strapline, with the call to action moved to the top of the text. Same targeting, placements, optimisation and schedule as Ad A, with one small platform-forced exception noted below.
Total spend stays at $10 / day, exactly what it was before.
Deliberately split into a fair test and then a real-money decision, so by the time we sit down next month you have both: a clean like-for-like comparison, and Meta's own verdict on top of it.
Both ads get exactly $5 a day. Neither is handed an advantage, so whatever separates them is the creative and the copy rather than the spend. This is the part that gives you a fair read on each.
The even split ends and both ads move into a single group carrying the whole $10 a day, which lets Meta push spend towards whichever one is actually performing instead of us holding it level. This is already scheduled and happens automatically, the same approach we used on the video test for Sierra.
You will see the two weeks of matched spend, which tells you how each ad performs on a level footing, and then which one Meta backed once it was free to choose, and by how much. The second part is often the more useful signal, because Meta is optimising against far more data than we can see.
One exception, for transparency. Meta no longer allows a new ad set to use the Instagram Explore Home placement without also selecting Instagram Explore, so the new ad set carries both. That is one extra placement against the existing ad set, which is left exactly as it is.
The same new creative is now doing the organic work as well, so the ads and the feed are saying the same thing rather than two different things.
The branded post carrying the old “Whistler’s Nightly Rental Cleaning Experts” line has been taken down from both Instagram and Facebook, and the new version put up in its place, with the same call-to-action change as the ad.
Your regular content, the property shots and the review cards, is untouched and carries on as normal.
The new story creative goes out at 10am on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, on both Instagram and Facebook. The previous story schedule has been switched off, so it replaces it rather than adding to it.
The opening line above is the one open question, but the same goes for any of it. Nothing is locked in just because it is live.
It runs as it is, the switch to Meta deciding happens on its own on 26 August, and we go through both phases together at the next meeting.
