Rob's photos from the first installs, put to work: on the Christmas Lights Google profile, in the posts going out from now to December, and two ways to bring them into the ads. Also the Google Ads budget for the season ahead.
The eight photos picked from Rob's shoot are now on the Sierra Christmas Lights Whistler profile, alongside the photos that were already there. They show the crew at work on real installs, which is what people look through when they find the profile on Google Maps.
Reviews are the quickest way up the map results now the photos are in. This link opens the review box for the Christmas Lights profile directly, ready to send to clients:
Eight new posts using Rob's photos are scheduled on Instagram, Facebook and the Christmas Lights Google profile, from October 11 to December 7. They slot in on the days between the posts already planned, so nothing has been moved or taken out. Four go out in October while the installs are under way and before the searching starts, then one roughly every ten days to early December.
Five lights posts were already scheduled before Rob's shoot, using the earlier photos of finished displays at night: October 27, November 8 and 20, and December 2 and 14, marked in teal in the feed above. They can stay alongside the new posts, or come out entirely so the season uses only Rob's photos. Either way, nothing else in the schedule moves.
Two review posts that mention Christmas lights also go out on November 14 and December 11, and a Christmas message on December 23. Every lights post now goes to the Christmas Lights Google profile as well as Instagram and Facebook, so that profile shows regular activity through the season.
Two ways to bring Rob's photos into the Facebook and Instagram ads, using the wording already approved. Either would run in the same campaign, on the same $25 a day, alongside the current ad. When Rob's videos arrive at the end of the week, they go into the campaign as well.

Option A lets the photo do the work, so it reads like a post from a local company, and the wording sits above and below it. Option B carries the same headline box and lights border as the current ad, so the new photos sit inside a look people may already recognise from the ads running since September 27. The blinking lights from the current ad can be added to Option B as well.
The Christmas lights search campaign has been raised to $10 a day, up from $6, so it is ready for the searches that build from early November.
Google only spends when somebody searches and clicks, so at this time of year it uses what the searches allow, about $4 a day so far. The higher budget means that once the searching picks up after Halloween, the ad keeps showing through the day instead of stopping when the budget runs out.
Option A, Option B, or both side by side so Meta can show whichever gets the better response.
Keep the five earlier lights posts alongside the new ones, or remove them entirely (section 2).
The 15 and 30 second cuts are due at the end of this week. Once they are in, I'll work with Rob directly to get them ready for the ads.
Once Rob has re-graded the website photos to match the gold and blue of the site, they go onto sierralights.ca.
