What worked last season, and the campaigns now running on Meta and Google.
The holiday lights campaign ran from 12 October through December, with most of it in November. These are the results from the Whistler audience, which carried the campaign.
| Ad text | Cost per visit | Website visits | 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Text 3High-quality, commercial-grade lights with zero-hassle installation, takedown, and storage options | $0.95 | 159 | Running |
| Text 2Energy-efficient LED lights with warm white G30 bulbs, cut to fit your home perfectly | $1.04 | 276 | Running |
| Text 1Custom exterior lighting installation with professional guidance, serving Whistler, Pemberton, and Squamish | $1.15 | 195 | Retired |
All seven photos did a similar job, so they all carry on. The real difference was the wording. The line about commercial-grade lights with installation, takedown and storage brought visits in for the least, the energy-efficient LED line was close behind, and the general line came last. This year's ads use the two stronger lines only.
Last season's campaign is back with its best wording, focused on Whistler and 17 km around it as before. The photos are lit homes rather than designed graphics, shown full frame in the feed and full screen in stories.
It is set to put the budget behind whichever photo is bringing people to the holiday lights page for the least, so the strongest ones get the most of the run.
All seven photos and both lines of wording are shown above. Have a look, and if you would like anything swapped or changed, let us know.
The Google campaign runs year round and spends as people search, so it picks up on its own as the season builds. We raised its budget last week and have optimised it since: it now runs on Google Search only, Pemberton is included, and a new ad covers commercial-grade warm white bulbs, custom-cut runs, and optional takedown and storage.
Searches build through October into November. If they pick up faster than the budget allows, we will move more across to Google.
